Privacy Policy

Hi there! 👋

I care about your privacy as much as I care about mine. That’s why I keep things simple and transparent. Here’s what you need to know about how I handle your data:

What I Collect and Why

  • Newsletter and Account Data:
When you choose to subscribe to my newsletter or create an account, I ask for:
    • Name (just to personalize emails).
    • Email address (so I can send you updates).

This data is managed by a software called Ghost, the open-source content platform I use to run this blog. Ghost stores your data on my server located in Germany (EU). I also use Mailgun to deliver newsletters. For more details, see Mailgun's privacy policy.

You can update your preferences anytime through your account settings.

  • Contact:
If you email me at [email protected], I’ll only use your info to reply to you. That’s it!
  • Analytics:
I use Plausible Analytics to see how my website is doing. It’s cookie-free, doesn’t track you personally, and only gives me anonymous, aggregated data about website traffic.

I process your data based on:

  • Consent: When you subscribe to my newsletter or create an account.
  • Legitimate Interest: When I analyse anonymized website traffic

Your Rights

You’re in control of your data. If you want to:

  • See what data I have about you.
  • Update or delete it.

Just email me at [email protected], and I’ll take care of it!

Where Your Data Lives

All your data is stored on my self-hosted server, located in Germany (EU). I don’t sell, share, or use your data for anything other than running this blog and sending newsletters.

Cookies 🍪

This website does not use any analytical or third party cookies.

Transparency and Trust 🌍

This is a personal blog, and I’m committed to being privacy-friendly. I only collect what’s absolutely necessary, and I’ll always be upfront about it.
