I care about your privacy as much as I care about mine. That’s why I keep things simple and transparent. Here’s what you need to know about how I handle your data:
What I Collect and Why
- Newsletter and Account Data:
When you choose to subscribe to my newsletter or create an account, I ask for:- Name (just to personalize emails).
- Email address (so I can send you updates).
This data is managed by a software called Ghost, the open-source content platform I use to run this blog. Ghost stores your data on my server located in Germany (EU). I also use Mailgun to deliver newsletters. For more details, see Mailgun's privacy policy.
You can update your preferences anytime through your account settings.
- Contact:
If you email me at [email protected], I’ll only use your info to reply to you. That’s it! - Analytics:
I use Plausible Analytics to see how my website is doing. It’s cookie-free, doesn’t track you personally, and only gives me anonymous, aggregated data about website traffic.
Legal Basis for Processing
I process your data based on:
- Consent: When you subscribe to my newsletter or create an account.
- Legitimate Interest: When I analyse anonymized website traffic

- Update or delete it.
Just email me at [email protected], and I’ll take care of it!
Where Your Data Lives
All your data is stored on my self-hosted server, located in Germany (EU). I don’t sell, share, or use your data for anything other than running this blog and sending newsletters.
